Two ways to get eBay items to Nigeria
The first thing to check on any listing is whether it ships to Nigeria. Set your delivery country to Nigeria in your eBay account, or in the “Ship to” option on the listing. If the listing can reach you, it shows shipping and estimated import charges. If it can’t, you’ll see a note that the item doesn’t ship to your location.

If a listing offers direct shipping, compare its checkout total with a forwarder quote. Direct is simpler and keeps eBay’s protection to your door. A forwarder is often cheaper when you combine several purchases into one shipment.
How to use a freight forwarder
- Sign up with a forwarder that delivers to Nigeria. Examples Nigerian shoppers use include Fez Delivery (US and UK addresses) and Global Shopaholics (US address with order consolidation).
- Copy your warehouse address exactly, including your suite number. The suite number is how the warehouse links the package to you. Leave it out, and your package can sit unclaimed.
- Add that address on eBay as your shipping address, and choose it at checkout.

1. Your naira card. Nigerian banks resumed international use of naira cards in July 2025. Each bank sets its own foreign spending limit. As of August 2026, limits ranged from about $100 a month to $20,000 a quarter. Check your bank’s current limit before a big purchase. Verve cards are domestic-only and won’t go through on eBay. 2. PayPal. Nigerian PayPal accounts are “send-only”. That’s enough to pay on eBay, though you can’t receive money into the account. PayPal still charges the card you link to it, so that card has to work for international payments. PayPal is a useful second try when a direct card payment fails, but it won’t rescue a card your bank blocks abroad.
3. A virtual dollar card. You fund it in naira or stablecoins and spend in dollars, so your bank’s foreign limit doesn’t apply. Not all virtual cards behave the same at checkout, though. Customs duty on eBay orders: the $300 rule
Since 8 September 2025, Nigeria Customs has cleared express and e-commerce parcels worth $300 or less without duty or taxes. The exemption has three limits:
- Once per quarter. Each person gets one duty-free import per quarter, four a year. Unused quarters don’t roll over.
- Per package. Customs assesses each consignment on its declared value.
- No splitting. Breaking a bigger order into small parcels to stay under $300 is treated as evasion. Penalties include forfeiture of the goods.
