Let’s clear this up first, since it’s the question that matters most.
Blackmagic sells Studio in its own online store. But the store only works for the countries in its country list. When we checked, that list had about 30 places. South Africa was the only African country on it. Nigeria wasn’t there.
So you’re dealing with two different problems. It helps to know which one you have.

Why can’t I buy DaVinci Resolve Studio from Nigeria?
There are two kinds of problems. Let’s look at each one.
Your card is being declined
If the store or a reseller takes buyers from Nigeria, your card may still fail. This may be because:
- Your bank blocks or limits foreign payments
- Your card’s network isn’t accepted
- You don’t have enough balance, including fees
- Your billing address doesn’t match your card
- The payment company rejects the card
- Your bank flags a large foreign payment as fraud

Nigeria isn’t supported at checkout

On sites like Jumia and Jiji, you may see Studio for ₦9,000 to ₦30,000. That’s a tiny part of the real price. So it’s fair to ask what’s being sold.
It could be:
- A shared account or a shared key
- An older version, or the wrong product
- An “activation service” instead of a license
- A key that’s been used or blocked
- A fake or invalid license
We’re not saying every cheap listing is fake. But if the price is far below $295, check before you pay. If a key gets blocked, you could lose your money and your work.
